TARA

Tara is a young and very pretty merle girl who loves toys, loves to play like a puppy, but also loves couch time....a nice combination in any dog lover's opinion.  :-)  She has lovely house manners and is crate trained.  She loves people and also gets along with the dogs in her current home ( Rhett and Scarlet).  She is responsive and is a quick learner.

Foster home update on TARA:

Tara acts very young, but she is flexible and agile, and her cleverness makes us think she is a little older than 1 year....maybe 14 to 18 months.  But still a puppy by Dane standards.  She is muscular and can run like the wind.  She is definitely a by-your-side dog that wants to go everywhere with you.  She is enthused about life, nosy about everything, ready to go if you are, and a happy, waggy girl.  She meets everyone like she has always known them.  She is not afraid of anything, including loud noises.  Having said all those things, she is now learning what the word 'no' means.  :-)  She is also learning that 'time out' in the crate might apply to her, though she'd rather be where the action is all the time.  She does go right into her crate quickly and smoothly, which is nice.

Tara very much wants to please and tries to figure out how.  She should be good in Obedience classes and will learn fast.  She should be awesome once she learns a big vocabulary.  She is affectionate, gives lap hugs, gets along with the other dogs and has been good with our resident cat.  She loves to go for walks and rides very quietly in the car, watching out the front car window the whole trip.  She comes when she is called but she has a free spirit and playful kind of attitude sometimes.  She will blossom with Obedience classes which always turns out to be fun for humans and dogs together.  She has an athletic and youthful body the better to out walk any of us and will definitely help us not be couch potatoes.  :-)  She is a good girl who will be a very loyal partner and smart companion for a lucky family that gets to take her home.
