Emma

Emma is currently not available for adoption until we get a handle on her recurring demodectic mange outbreaks. She recovered from the last bout but now is mysteriously breaking out again.

EMMA is 10 to 11 months old, black, natural ears (flying nun type!) and a gentle charmer.  She was bought from a probable back yard breeder, with no instructions as to proper care of a Dane puppy.  She was turned out of her home when the newest human baby arrived.  There was no time and no room for her any more and she was forced to live outside, tethered and alone.  Fortunately, she was turned over to our rescue.  She'd had very little veterinary care and not current on vaccinations.  She was very sick from being full of hook worms and other parasite infestations.  She was very under weight and scared and unsure of herself.  But now Emma has blossomed into a beauty who plays with the other foster dogs, who snuggles and gives sweet love, and who has been obedient about everything she has been asked to do.  She is nicely crated trained and has fit into her foster home like she had been there forever.  All are impressed with her that meet her for her gentleness, her puppy-ish innocence, and her quick ability to learn.  A nice sweet teenage girl that will complete a home that needs her love.

Update from Emma's foster home:

"Emma has been a real joy around the house.  She plays with Jazzy and Blue great.  She listens to commands and will do a sit.  She is doing great in her crate.  Has not had any accidents in the house.  She really is a happy dog.  She is so special she is going to make someone really happy.  We have just loved her being with us.  She is so lovely at times it is so sweet."
