Yes, we think she is unique with “natural” ears that stand up most of the time.  Other times the left one droops but the look still turns heads.  J    She is cute, sweet, and affectionate.  But she is confused a little from being shoved from one home around into several in the last couple of weeks.  She had puppies on May 10 2012, and four weeks later Paddy was taken from her puppies and given away, the reason unknown.  Then all her 12 puppies were put on Craig’s list to be given away as well.  A small rescue spotted the puppies on Craig’s list and immediately offered to take them for their own safety.  Yea!  Five had already been given away, but 7 of them were rescued.  Then their mama,  Paddy, was discovered on Craig’s list as well!  She’d been handed around to 3 or 4 different homes and this small rescue did a very good thing and took her in too.  They asked us for help with mama dog and we now are asking for help to take Paddy in to foster for us until she reduces all her milk, and begins a recovery from the fear and neglect she’s experienced.  Then she can be spayed and rehomed to someone that will love her like she deserves.

Paddy is the size of a small female Dane, is merle in color, with ears standing like rabbit’s ears!  She is so sweet and now attached to her temporary rescuer lady.  She wags and smiles and responds well.  She has good house manners and asks to go out to potty.  She greets strangers to the house very well, and she’s getting along nicely with two other resident dogs too.  A very nice girl who needs a second chance at a home in which she’ll find caring humans, nutrition which she desperately needs, and above all that special ‘healing magic’ called LOVE.  She’s going to be a very nice companion pal.

Regarding the puppies, please email us and we will forward to the small rescue, Bark and Purr, for applications to adopt when they are at least 8 weeks of age.  And FYI, the puppies don’t seem at this point to resemble Dane puppies, but nevertheless are wonderful babies.
