Foster update on Indie 7-14-06 Foster mom feels that Indie has escaped much of the effects of the neglect and abuse in her former home. She is outgoing, very sweet and kissy, and wags all over the place! She responds very well, comes when she is called, and is learning some basic training. She plays well with the resident dog and loves her walks in the neighborhood and at the dog park. She is a darling puppy who has come a long way and is now charming everyone who meets her.

Indie and Roo. They are sister and brother puppies that were born around Christmas. They are about 6 months of age and have not seen the best side of living yet. They very obviously have not been cared for properly and are marked up all over their bodies by scabs and scars from dog bites and whatever else happened to these innocent puppies. They have not been socialized and are very scared little kids. They are each responding to kindness now and are making good progress step by step because they really do want to trust us. They don't appear to have any broken bones, just scabs, scars and skinny-ness. Their feet are flat from lack of good nutrition but that will correct with good food, love and a good home life, which they have begun now. They have met other dogs without fear and are meeting people the same way. More will be reported as they continue to improve and step out of the world they came from, into a wonderful world waiting just for them. :-) |
