BUDDY BALOO!

He is a four year old black who was owner surrendered because the family was moving.  He was kept mostly outside but was good in the house when invited inside.  He is calm, friendly, sweet and leans into you affectionately.  He is a little shy having not been socialized outside his home but he is rapidly becoming more comfortable in his current environment.  Everyone at the vet office loves him and he loves them back with leans and wags.  He was afraid to get his bath and due to his large size, it took 3 people to keep him in the tub and 3 shampoos to get him clean!  His ear in the picture seems half the length because his left ear had what the vet says is an old nasty hematoma that healed by itself with no vet care given to it.  It does not appear to hurt or bother him now.  As reported to us, he has had no vet care since he was a little puppy so he is starting from scratch, being vaccinated, being neutered, having a very needed teeth cleaning, and will soon be heart worm treated as his test sadly came back positive.

He seems very nice around little kids and loves to meet people though he is a little shyer about meeting men.  He responds well to calmness and kindness and everyone that meets him loves him.  He does not jump up on people but he can use a little basic obedience, which all dogs benefit from.  He is a handsome dog even with his 'cauliflower ear'!  He appears to be ok with other dogs and is responsive when spoken to.  He should make a wonderful, happy, BIG companion!
